Location: Possum Kingdom Lake, TX
This house sits on a piece of land in Possum Kingdom in such a way that three sides of the house hold magnificent views of the lake. Purva had the opportunity to work on the design of this Lakehouse while at RDDA. The clients wanted to design a personal weekend retreat with three bedrooms in the main house and a garage as a detached structure. The foyer leads into the family room and kitchen, which opens up into the large covered porch with a summer kitchen and fireplace. The outdoor covered porch has glass sliding doors and insect screens, allowing the clients to enjoy the Lake even in the harsh Texas summer.
