Initial Consultation

We meet with you on location or in our office in Dallas to listen and learn.

Your needs, desires, budget and the unique profile of your site provide what we refer to as “the design challenge.” We will use this information to start brainstorming. To get the engagement formally started, contracts are executed, and we receive a retainer.

In terms of architectural design, this is where we work with you to define your architectural goals. We can help outline goals for the interior as well as the overall architecture to design your space.

Programming

For both architecture and interior design, we gather data and inspiration. The result is a set of design assets that fuel your unique designs.

ARCHITECTURE PROCESS

  • We list out your needs, project goals, constraints, adjacencies, desired square footage, budget, diagrams, and site study
  • We receive client inspiration images and binder
  • We measure and photograph the existing space

INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS

  • We list out the client needs/project goals
  • We receive your client questionnaire
  • We discuss budgets and timeline
  • We take an Inventory of furniture and measure specifications
  • We receive client inspiration images and binder

Conceptual Design

The design solution is presented to the client.

ARCHITECTURE PROCESS

  • Any existing plans are drawn (if applicable)
  • Site plan, floor plans, and sketches are provided..

INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS

  • We begin floor plans and interior elevations
  • We start selecting Inspiration images
  • We'll meet with the client to present progress and discuss the design direction

 

Design Development

The design is developed and begins to come to life.

ARCHITECTURE PROCESS

  • We tweak plans and review budgets
  • Client/Team meetings
  • We start drawing exterior elevations and plan the roof
  • We provide models and renderings at the client's request
  • The client signs off on design, and gives approval to move forward with construction documents

INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS

  • We develop space plans, furniture plans, and color palette
  • We'll pull finishes and selections
  • We compile design boards
  • We present to the client, and tweak and refine based on the client's feedback

Construction Documents

The revelant construction documents are prepared so all team members are on the same page.

ARCHITECTURE PROCESS

  • We compile drawings, details, electrical layout, and cabinetry
  • We collaborate with consultants
  • We'll provide a set of plans for construction

INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS

  • We finish interior elevations, lighting and electrical plans, details, drawings, furniture plans
  • We create an Interiors Selections spreadsheet

Construction Administration

We administer construction support and coordinate all the moving pieces to stay on track, on time, and on budget.

ARCHITECTURE PROCESS

  • We provide site visits and team meetings
  • We collaborate with consultants
  • We review field required changes and change orders
  • We answer questions regarding plans and design intent

INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS

  • We provide site visits and team meetings
